Are you addicted to social media?

Orkut was the first toy of mine to be thrilled by interacting someone around or anonymous. I set an account on it and started searching my schoolmates. That was the amazing experience. But after that everyday atleast twice or thrice I used to log in the orkut just to see the new notifications from my friends. Sometimes I sent messages to the friends and their answers were awaiting for days, I felt uncomfortable and then I realised myself neglected. Fortunately within a year orkut passed away and an era of facebook began. The same curiosity and time was spent on facebook for somedays and afterthat it seemed uninteresting. So I took a long break of almost several months from facebook. And now I am active on facebook today. Ok. You are bored of reading all this stuff which is actually same for most of us. Especially 90s kids are the first generation who entered in this social media network in their college life. But now it's not simple as it was. The things are being tough day by day....

ABCD (anybody can dispense) is ruining the health of India

The biggest unnecessary expenditure by people in India is medicines. Nobody cares what are they consuming and why are they consuming all these chemicals? They just want to be fit in just a day and for that they don't care whoever prescribes them.  Quacks are everywhere, not only in rural areas but also in urban places. These quacks are not limited to just as medical practitioners. On pharmacy stores we can also find such quacks without qualifications. People are loaded with the  unnecessary multiple drugs and cured within two or three days for simple diseases but this isn't a way to prescribe.  Unnecessary multiple medicines in a single prescription lead to polypharmacy which is one of the dangerous things for the patients' health as well as wealth. Antibiotics resistance, adverse drug reactions, drug drug interactions all these crisis increase with the number of medicines in a single prescription. One may be cured easily but one's organs may get damaged by such prescri...

Nosocomial infection: The challenging part of the quality care

Infection from the hospital premises during hospital stay or visit is considered as a hospital acquired infection. Nosocomial infection is the medical term which is used for hospital acquired infection. The word "nosocomial" is made up of two Greek words. The prefix "noso-" comes from "nosus" meaning disease and "-comial" comes from "komeion" meaning to take care of. Nosocomial could therefore refer to any affliction acquired by a patient while under medical supervision. It now refers more narrowly to a hospital-acquired infection. The most important parameter of hospital is nosocomial infection rate. This rate decides the quality of services provided by the hospital authorities. We know that this hallmark metric of quality do not just reveal a number but the essence of the preventive care by the hospital itself. To serve the biggest population while controlling the infections all around the premises is the challenging work in India, ...

Are you Covid stigma positive?

Recently 19 year old girl was thrown out of the bus in UP after the passengers in bus supposed her Covid19 positive by symptoms. Though she wasn't tested positive yet, the driver and the conductor stopped the bus and pulled her out on the midway. Her mother pleaded a lot to them but they weren't convinced. Just after 30 minutes the girl died on the road. Postmortem report stated it 'cardiac arrest' and dead person was not tested for Covid19 as per policy.  Here the question is not either she was Covid19 positive or negetive, but the way she was humiliated by the passengers is the big issue rising day by day. The people on bus shouldn't do so even if she was Covid19 positive. The things happening all around after this pandemic put us on the edge of the bay. Misconceptions are emerging as a big enemy after this pandemic. Even WHO is also serious on this matter and trying to stop this infodemic. A silent pandemic with corona: Antibiotic Resistance

Once upon a time there were lots of magic molecules around us to combat bacterial infections. They were totally used to defend us from mild to sevear infections. After sometimes these molecular options were narrowed day by day. Now this decade is going to threat us by snatching our magic molecules from us. Just like an Iron mam without his AI suit our strength against infections will be reduced to more than half. The antibiotic resistance is spreading all over the world and most of bacterial cells are boosting their own immunity to be superbugs. We are aware of the the horror show with antibiotic resistance . Corona virus pandemic has accelerated this resistance in short time. The door was already opened for superbugs is now widen by this novel virus. Corona virus has emerged as a best friend of bacteria now a days. How is corona triggering antibiotic resistance? As we all know very well Corona is a viral disease and antibiotics don't work on it. But that is just a half truth. Actu...

Vegetarianism: an endless debate

The most longest debate on the earth is what should one eat? Either be Nonvegetarian or be Vegetarian? Ohh, leave it. It's old one. Now one new word has been coined from the type of diet we encounter and that is vegan. Now the debate is going more complex. Diet type is totally a multi segment question which may touch your locality, your religion, your spirituality, even sometimes humanity but the most necessary part of the diet type is our body requirements or health necessities. We always enjoy our food as an entertainment rather than a health supplement. That's why we are networking ourselves into baseless points instead of a scientific approach. We can see the community vise  difference in diet. All the sources are consumed by the human and that makes the homo sapiens a wildest animal of the earth. Most of people in India are flexitarians. It means they eat anything which is eatable. They are not fixed in their diet. Sometimes they eat grains and somethimes they...
